Snake Rising Earrings / Lapis Lazuli / Tsavorite

Carved Lapis Lazuli stud earrings with a bezel set rose cut Tsavorite garnet at the eye, set in 14 carat gold.

In ancient traditions around the world, snakes were associated with medicine, power, transformation and danger. The early alchemical traditions enshrined and revered the symbolism of the serpent and many traditions meet the Snake in trance states and use the energy to access wisdom that is normally obscured. A later association with the snake was the body, sensuality and temptation, seeing these things as ungodly, a dissent.  The weaponising of the very place where we source our knowledge, through embodiment, the flesh, a the watery dark nature of inner vision, is how women stay fearful of all we contain. 

I'm playing with Snake energy as a reclamation of the flesh, the sensuous intelligence, and the healing therein.
