The Embodied Artist
Art is Medicine
The Embodied Artist
A 15-week creative and emotional embodiment container for the woman who is ready to stop abandoning her inner world — and begin using her emotions as the raw material for her art.
A space where the poetic meets the intellectual, the somatic meets the practical, and the underworld meets the heavenly — so your inner landscape becomes a living resource for your art, your work, your body, and your hands.
This is a practical course, the things we explore will not remain conceptual. We will use materials and home play to mirror what’s happening internally. A theatre of the kinaesthetic. This is the union of the inner world with the tangible, and the sense of wholeness that this union brings.
For those who want it, this is a container of support — with accountability, and with the emotional and mindset challenges that come up when we put our work into the world. If, as children, we were given the idea that our art and our desires weren’t valid, or we were taught to always be ‘good’ and know what the next step is.
In this space, you’ll be held to midwife your voice into form, and embody all the feelings that come up in the process. True life is messy, multi directional and difficult to explain in words — so we create Art with our vitality and let the mind rest.
You do not need to become more polished to become more powerful.
You need a practice that can hold more of you, then develop an ever deepening trust in your own artistic voice.

Who is this for
The Embodied Artist is for the woman who wants to develop diamond confidence in her inner world — not by fixing herself, but by remembering that her sensitivity, emotion, vision, body, and depth are not problems to solve, but portals to create from.
- For the woman whose inner world is rich, intense, symbolic, sensual, and alive
- For the artist or practitioner who wants to strengthen her aesthetic voice beyond words
- For the woman ready to stop relating to her depth as something to heal away
- For the woman who wants her body, hands, presence, and materials to become part of her communication
- For the woman ready to create from range, not just from what feels acceptable or beautiful
- For the woman who feels inspired yet blocked when it comes to taking action, gets lost in her amazing brain
“I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger than reason. I am so thirsty for the marvellous that only the marvellous has power over me.”
Anaïs Nin
The transformation — what you'll develop
Inside this 15-week container, you will strengthen your emotional range and embody your golden artistic nervous system, so your inner landscape becomes a resource for your work, your aesthetic voice becomes unmistakable, and your practice becomes a place where more of you can safely exist.
You will develop
- Greater emotional range and capacity
- A stronger bridge between inner experience and outer form
- More confidence in your aesthetic language
- More safety with intensity, visibility, beauty, desire, and expression
- A deeper relationship with your body, hands, materials, and creative intelligence
- Deepening trust in the intelligence of your body and your senses, without having to think everything through
The pillars
The Embodied Artist moves through a three-part arc: first reclaiming the unseen, then building the bridge, then allowing your energy to become unmistakable.
The practice of range
We will increase our capacity for both the uncomfortable and the ecstatic.
Inside the safety of our practice, we will work with the tangible transformation of materials, textures, emotions, and expressions we have been taught to reject, hide, soften, or make beautiful too quickly.
We will embody our inner dangerous beauty through meditation, material exploration, creative practice, and somatic presence — pushing edges without abandoning ourselves.
Together, we will explore the textures we fear even in private:
- The whimsical.
- The frivolous.
- The serious.
- The sexy.
- The strange.
- The unhinged.
- The ugly.
- The tender.
- The dangerous.
- The holy.
Not to perform them.
Not to be consumed by them.
But to build the capacity to hold more of ourselves — and let that range become art.
This is where your practice becomes a safe place to let more of you exist.
The container includes
- 15 weeks together
- Core teachings / live sessions

About Loren

Loren is a lifelong craftswoman and a jewellery designer. She started training as an Art Psychotherapist as a way to spread the message that Art is Medicine, but life had other plans. She’s led in-person workshops, been invited to healing retreats, runs a creative business, and is the host of The Embodied Vessel Podcast. Loren wants to see creative practice being included in the conversation on ‘wellness’.
I created The Embodied Artist because my artistic practice has saved my life many times.
For years, I searched for something that would help me feel less broken — less too much, less not enough. I tried therapy, meditation, yoga, substances, healing modalities, even religion. And while each one gave me something, nothing quite reached the place in me that was aching.
Because underneath it all, I was lonely for art, for the deep kinaesthetic sense of absorption in beauty.
As a young person, I knew I was an artist. I knew that if I didn’t create, something in me would die. But when I left school, I stopped trusting that my devotion to beauty, craft, aesthetics and making with my hands was sacred enough to build a life around.
So I went searching for the holy elsewhere.
I found reverence. I found ritual. I found practices that almost touched the mystery. But I kept coming back to the same truth: I didn’t just need to heal through the mind. I needed to heal through the making.
I needed to return to the art that moved through my body, my hands, my lived experience.
After a dark night of the soul, I knew I couldn’t keep abandoning the very thing that made me feel alive. I had to turn my whole life around — not by becoming someone else, but by coming back to the artist I had always been.
Once I centred my art again, paradigms I’d been grappling with dropped away, I no longer needed to analyse myself, I felt how profoundly more complex and alive all of life is. We truly can’t be understood with maps and institutionalised learning. Each of us is an entire cosmology.
We need the liminal, the mysterious, and we deeply need beauty. Without it, we look for it in glamour, outside of ourselves.
The Embodied Artist was born from this return, to participate in beauty again, and strengthen your unique voice in communicating it. I am deeply aware of the time we are stepping into with AI, and deeply believe we require a kinaesthetic revolution.
This is for the woman who wants to make artistry a sacred practice, a way of knowing, a way of healing, a way of being more alive.
Your art can take all that you are, it wants your sadness, your ugly, your sassy and your impatient. It is when we actually feel, that we relax and heal. Art is the alchemical furnace where emotions are transmuted into gold — in the form of generosity, beauty and homecoming, that you share with the world, as a way to praise this life, just as you are.
“When the spirit of child’s play enters into the creative process, it’s a wonderful force and something to be nurtured.”
Joni Mitchell
Your inner landscape is not something to escape.
- It is the material.
- It is the muse.
- It is the medium.
The Embodied Artist is where you learn to trust it, translate it, and let it become form.
“Never let go of that fiery sadness called desire.”
Patti Smith

Open until the Harvest Moon — Saturday 26 September, 5.49pm.
We begin Monday 26 October 2026.
This is an entirely online course for any woman who wants to develop her kinaesthetic intelligence, deepen in her unique voice and learn to use her emotions as fuel for her work.
We are born as Artists, so this is therefore open to any woman who feels the call to work with me in the container of this community, and learn from the women who share with us.
You might also be an experienced craftswoman who wants to bring more of your unique voice into your existing high level of technical skill.
We will mostly be working with very inexpensive materials, with the materials list being a suggestion, nothing is mandatory. You can use recycled / reclaimed materials or go and splurge on the finest art materials. This is about allowing the body to really respond to aesthetics, and rise to meet that. Apply your budget but don’t be limited by it.
See you on the 26th. — Loren
