Ancient Futures Amulet / Lapis Lazuli

Carved lapis lazuli amulet hung from the top centre.

Width 37mm x 21mm (29 including chain loop).

The bedrock is carved lapis, holding bezel set tanzanite, turquoise and apatite. The solid blue of the lapis bedrock creates a beautiful contrast with the translucence of tanzanite and apatite. The metal components are gold plated recycled silver.

The idea for this piece came from patterns that I was painting on my studio walls, as well as expressing in metal forms of my work.

These pieces are modern and clean, almost futuristic in their precise energy, with ancient amuletic undertones.

These pieces are as pleasurable to hold in the hands and caress with your fingers as they are to wear.
