The Crystal Matriarch

On the penultimate day in the stone workshops in Jaipur, I asked them to make this piece, I wasn't planning to release it, but wanted to create this image that had been following me around for so long. 

I'd been feeling the strong presence of Matriarchal power, not a soft guiding energy, but a strong force of containment, leadership and power. A non human force of galactic Matriarch Energy. Can you feel her?

I started sketching this top-heavy, but balanced feeling, and within moments I was bringing the image directly into the wax.

This size works so beautifully as a holding talisman, she fits in the palm of a hand like a wand, a landing place for presence and power.

The Crystal Matriarch is a carved stone singular piece, adorned with 14 carat recycled gold bezel set emeralds.

The chain is fixed onto a silver rod that goes through the top of the design. The box chain is adjustable from 16 up to 22 inches, giving a variety of lengths to chose to wear this piece at varying lengths.
