I've always been moved by the Byzantine iconography, architecture and orthodoxy of design of that era. The chapels often were designed with a domed roof, which would be adorned with endless mosaic and golden motifs.

A coiled spiral dome is the basis of these earrings, which for me seem as though they'd fit perfectly an Empress of Constantinople. Dangling from the stud top of the earring are the images of sun, Moon and Star, each with their own Akoya Keishi tassel.

These earrings are festive and conjure a scene from the Middle East, of twinkling stars and the thick smoke of Frankincense, of wandering hearts and courageously being oneself in the solitude and depths of Winter.

I have one pair in stock, and subsequent orders will be shipped in a further ten days.

These really are an opportune Christmas, midwinter gift, the way they twinkle and warm is beautiful.

Why reach for beauty?

When we encourage a more sensual intelligence, enjoying the forms we see, hear, touch, smell and taste, we feel the poetry of life as it is in real time. An appreciation for the raw, the unrefined and the mysterious springs from this sensuality.

My jewellery is absolutely stunning and I shall treasure it forever and a day. I adore your work and appreciate the ceremony and sacred essence that go into it.

I am in awe of the beauty of my jewellery. I wore it at the weekend and cannot put into words how I felt in it. It felt so precious to adorn myself with these sacred pieces, they feel so much like antiquity.
